He fought off the challenge of Fedor “CrownUpGuy” Holz and Mike “Tîmex” McDonald, who came sixth and fifth respectively, before going on to defeat José Ángel “Cejakas14” Latorre heads-up.

Top prize scooped by Mario Lopez in the LAPT Uruguay Main Event, which came to a finish on Tuesday. The Argentinian topped a field of 267 players to win his second LAPT title – one of only four players to do the double. He picked up his first at LAPT7 Chile last year.

Buy-in for the UKIPT Isle of Man Main Event, which takes place from October 1-4 at the Villa Marina, Douglas. There are a total of 14 events spread across the five-day festival. In addition the PokerStars Isle of Man International Chess Tournament runs from October 2-11 and is set to be one of the strongest open tournaments in the world.
