First prize won by poker legend John Juanda in the PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Main Event in Barcelona last weekend. Juanda topped a record-breaking field of 1,694 to take home €1,022,593 from the €8,215,900 prize pool. The win takes Juanda’s live tournament earnings to more than $17 million.

Top prize won by the latest PokerStars Sunday Million champion ‘KKruchitAAs’. The player, from Argentina, came third in the Sunday Million in 2010 to win $120,000, but went two places better this time by topping a field of 5,430 to claim the lion’s share of a $1,086,000 prize pool.

Buy-in for the PokerStars LAPT Uruguay Main Event, which takes place in two weeks’ time. The five-day event will be held at the Enjoy Conrad Resort & Casino in Punta del Este from September 18-22. There are a total of 13 events in the wider festival, with buy-ins ranging from $200 to $5,000.

Frequent player points (FPP) PokerStars player ‘DomMarty’ spent to qualify for the WCOOP Main Event via Mega Path satellites – the fewest number of points ever used to qualify.
