Buy-in to the first EPT Malta Main Event, which takes place from March 22-28 and features a live webcast of the action on PokerStars.tv from Day 2 (March 23) at 12.00 CET through to the final table on March 28 at 13.00 CET. The final will be shown cards-up on a short delay. There are a total of 69 events at EPT Malta, making it the biggest EPT festival to date. The €25,500 High Roller is currently taking place and plays down to a winner tomorrow (Friday).

Number of players in the Italian Poker Tour Malta Main Event, which is a new record for the IPT, surpassing the 1,010 players who competed at IPT San Remo in Season 6. The final field size will be confirmed later today when all alternates have been seated. The six-day €1,100 buy-in tournament finishes on Monday, March 23 with a cards-up final table broadcast from 13.00 CET.

PokerStars added two new sponsored players to its team this week with the signing of Team PokerStars Pro Online Liliya ‘Liay5’ Novikova from Russia, and Japanese celebrity Yuiko Matsukawa as a brand ambassador.

Novikova is a former pro videogame player who has turned her hand to poker and regularly plays Hyper-Turbo 6-Max Sit & Go’s, while Matsukawa is a recent poker convert who played at the Macau Poker Cup last week and is now looking to promote the game in Japan.
