Guaranteed prize pool for the Turbo Championship of Online Poker (TCOOP), which began yesterday (Thursday) and continues through to February 2. The series culminates with a $700 Main Event featuring a $2 million guarantee.

Biggest prize on the first day of TCOOP 2014, won by ‘K_Heaven07’ from Australia, in event 3 – a $215 NL Hold’em [Turbo, Knockout] tournament. He also received 23 KO bounties worth $41.25 each, that added an extra $948.75 to his total. PokerSchoolOnline live trainer and coach 'GarethC23' finished second for $97,227.35

Sam ‘KingKobeMVP’ Stein’s first prize after he defeated Kevin ‘ImaLuckSac’ MacPhee in event 4 – a $55 NL Hold’em tourney. A deal had been already done four-handed, but the two poker giants of both live and online arenas, battled it out for the TCOOP title and an extra $6k in cash.

First prize money won by Buyanjargal Bold in the Macau Poker Cup Red Dragon event, which finished on January 21. The Mongolian player was part of a three-way deal, but went on to win the event after defeating female player, Percy Yung, heads-up.

Number of players who competed in last year’s EPT Deauville Main Event. This year’s festival has already got under way in the French seaside resort, with the €5,300 Main Event scheduled for January 26 to February 1.
