Hi all,

A bit late in arriving but I haven't played much in 2015.

My final graph of 2014:

This is in buy ins which I'm really happy with. My withdrawals were well into 4 figures but this graph is prettier than my profit graph Most of the games where  €2 to €5 ($2.50 to $7) and in 6 Max to MTT format.

While I'll be doing most of my grind elsewhere, I'll still play a bit on Pokerstars so I'll set out my goals of what I want and where I'll be in a years time.

1. GET INTO THE PREMIER LEAGUE

This has got to be my main target. There's so much value in playing here and it would be stupid not to go for it. I've been in the Premier League twice and never gave it the respect it deserves. I'll try via the qualifiers and not the freeroll league. Going via freeroll is just too hard. No matter how perfect you play, the bad players still run deep and set you up with a load of bad beats. When your in the Premier League, you have to generate 150VPPs to earn any sort of a decent prize so I might as well take the paid but easier route.

2. STAY IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE

I never gave this tourney the respect before but If get into it then it's essential to stay there. Getting there is the hard part.

3. GENERATE 150 VPPs PER MONTH

This is not a hard target but it's also essential as to make a major prize in the league then is a necessity.

4. PLAY LESS, LEARN MORE

At times in 2014 I was playing 10-16 tables. I was still making a profit but my game wasn't improving. I'm guilty of not learning enough but I have seen a decent improvement in my game when I've learned something new. I'm an OK player but there are players out there that would take every penny off me. If I'm playing and not learning then my opponents will catch me and overtake me. I've made a point of watching and listening to better players like Gripsed and Pokerstapes and evaluating my own game and I have seen an improvement. Poker is like an onion skin, the more I peel back the deeper it gets. There's still so much I don't know for something so easy to play.

5. QUALITY BLOG MORE

Thanks for the Big Bang Stamp but blogging really helps my game. Putting my thought process into words helps me analyse which in turn improves my game. The Big Bang is massive value and posting a quality blog post gets you there. Hopefully I'll return to blogging weekly and get the odd stamp of approval.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

There you have it. Quite simple really but I have a firmer idea of where I want to be. I'm not setting massive goals but I think everything I've set out is achieveable.

Good luck at the tables

Regards

Mark
