Learnt: I CAN MAKE IT PRETTY FAR IN TOURNAMENTS BY SITTING OUT, BUT THEN MORE LUCK THAN SKILL IS REQUIRED TO ADVANCE FURTHER.

I was wondering how anyone else felt about sitting out through the early stages of the tournament.  I sat out roughly and hour and ten minutes, 6000 people were eliminated and I still had 1000 chips left when I came back to my PC.  Obviously, this was a mistake and it would have been tough to get further with such a small stack but I'm sure there's an argument for sitting out at least until 2000-3000 have been eliminated, as most of the players who gamble early may be gone by the time you sit down to play then... Any thoughts?

Thanks
