I was very excited when I was given a ticket for the Premier Skill League. Then I started playing. Man I suck! I don’t know what the problem is. It may simply be that you have to be a better player in the Premier Skill games then in the Open Skill ones. First there are way fewer players playing, way better players. It is not that hard to wait out the not so good players when there a 1000 players in the Open Skill games. Exspecially when the better players are already playing in the Premier games. It is a much different game when playing in the Premier Skill games.

My playing style is not working. I need to figure out how to play the Premier Skill games. Waiting for good hands is not working, the blinds are killing long before I get a good hand. When I do finally get a good hand someone calls high, if i do call the flop never works with the cards in my hand. Bluffing does not work, but then bluffing never works for me. Which is why I don’t usually bluff. It is quite disheartning, I thought I can improved my game and was actually a good (not great) player.  What is it that I am not getting?

It was kind of a shock finding out that I am not that good of a player. I thought that I would at least place, that my rank would not be that high but that I would at least be in the 400 to 500 place.  I have decided that I am not going to worry about where I rank anymore. I am just going to play to try and get better. I am going to use this experince to learn. I need to figure out what I need to do different, the only way I can do that is to play. That way when I earn another ticket to play the Premier Skill games again I might do better. I am going to concentrate on playing freeroles, and micro games untill I get better. No more trying to bigger pots, and loosing. I will go back to the lower games and try to build my bank up again. This is about accepting my skill level and work at improving it.
