With Stars introducing a slew of new variants to the mobile client, I figured I'd put what I could remember from the live training session The Langolier did with TalonChick to good use. First with some play money games to get a feel for playing  it before jumping in to some SNG's, as the lowest cash game stakes offered for corchevel sit outside of my bankroll.

Having got a feel from the play money games, I decided to slink into an SNG. First SNG ($1.50 6-max single table, top 2 payed) I played was last night, and to my surprise, I managed to finish 2nd. Buoyed by this, I fired up another one this evening, and again, to my suprise considering my relative inexperience, this was the resulting post SNG email:

PokerStars Tournament #795148494, Pot Limit Courchevel

Buy-In: $1.32/$0.18 USD
6 players
Total Prize Pool: $7.92 USD
Tournament started 2013/09/29 18:45:58 WET [2013/09/29 13:45:58 ET]

Dear havocofsmeg,

You finished the tournament in 1st place. A USD 5.15 award has been credited to your Real Money account.

You earned 39 Sit & Go Leader Board Points for the Mercury Division in this tournament. For more information about our Sit & Go Leader Boards, see our website at http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/promotions/battle/

Now before someone feels compelled to point it out, I know this is no where near a decent sample size, I'm just glad to have got off the blocks to a good start.

Going forward, though, there are obsticles. As noted above, the lowest cash game stakes offered are $0.10/$0.25, which would require me to have almost double my current roll, the queue for the SNG's arn't exactly going round the corner and theres only 2 courchevel MTT's a day (one hi, one hi/lo) so I'm not going to be able to get much volume in, so I'll have to see how it goes, which is a shame, really, as corchevel is probably the most fun poker variant I've played.
