For those of you who don’t know it’s a term first coined in the military in the 1960’s meaning “Keep it simple, stupid.”

The KISS principle states that most systems work best if they are kept simple rather than made complex; (Wikipedia)

So working finally with this principle I headed back to the tables this week (ok so I was headed there anyway) with that in mind.  I decided to try to forget everything I have been learning about this wonderful work of poker except of course the ABC TAG that I first learnt when I switched over from Limit to No limit.

And guess what, KK all in crushed by AA, Bye bye $5.  JJ in for a raise, get reraised all in with second caller so I fold flop brings a J for what would have been a sweet score and so on.

All this and AA holds, straights hit and gets paid off and after 1708 hands in 7 days I am actually up by a staggering $5.54.

Now yes that’s not a blow away amount but it is a step for me in the right direction.  Not to say I have the winning formula, I quit yesterday after dropping a few buy-ins and you know what I got myself in trouble by thinking “well I have a tight image I could try a steal”

So the right direction for now, I’m off to try some more hands,

Good luck at the tables
