I am by nature a tight player.  I would like to consider myself aggressive but I will have to check on my graphs first... anyway this is usually what happens during my tourney games ...
Early phase, I play tight, stacks slowly dwindle... dwindles faster if I raised big (x4) on AK but did not hit my flop... dwindles a little bit slower if I win my AK...
I will see some players bust out... come middle phase i see most of my opponents tails as I drop further behind...
By late phase, I often find myself shoving my last remaining chips (10bb or less) hoping for a miracle that I will double up...
Question, how often and/or how long does a tight player stay above the pack during the duration of a tourney game?
I have played a lot of tourneys but only once did I experience staying in front of the pack from mid until the final table...
Is it natural for a tight player to be always behind the race?
Any comments will be much appreciated.  Thank you.
