Hi PokerStars School Online

I'm Gareth and I'm joining the team as a Live Trainer and Hand History Analyzer. I'm very excited for the opportunity and look forward to working with everyone. Live training is a neat concept and seems fit for good feedback between the members and the trainer.

My first training session is Wednesday at 8pm EST. You can check it out here. I am going to be doing Wednesdays at this time and Thursdays at 3pm EST most weeks regularly. My first week I will be playing 50nl which is a stake I am familiar with but in the future I will be willing to play lots of different stakes, both higher than 50nl and lower. I have not played very much 10nl or below but I think I'll be able to help members at these stakes whether in the training sessions or in the hand history forums. Hopefully I don't make too much of a fool of myself when I sit down at the 5nl tables. You guys will have to help show me some of the ropes

A bit about myself. I'm 26 and have been playing poker for about 4 years now. I was a struggling, swingy MTT player for the first couple years before switching to cash games when a certain "Zoom" like game hit the internet  . From there my fundamentals and game really took off and I was able to get away from the big swings in BR of MTTs and earn some more steady money. I still play MTTs today on Sundays and live. I played a full slate at the WSOP this summer which was a great experience. When it comes to a more reliable grind though, I don't think anything can beat Zoom six max. Its too much fun really.

I really like to travel and playing poker often affords me the opportunity to do so. I'm learning Spanish and have spent a good deal of time living and traveling in South America, mostly Peru. So if you know any Spanish be sure to help me out! I'm visiting back in Canada right now after having been away a long time. But I am already planning the next big trip. My feeling is that I should see the world now while I still can.

I am so excited to be working for PSO. In my opinion PokerStars has proven themselves again and again to be the best and most trustworthy site in the market by leaps and bounds. I am of course writing this in the afterglow of the DOJ resolution regarding that "other company." They really came through for me and for a ton of other players who had put a lot of time and effort into growing their bankrolls online. Its a happy time for online poker!

Hope to see you in live training
