Hello again Guys !

I just wanted to write some words about how I started in the world of Poker (in which I'm still rather new you see!).

First of all, once I got my "spark" for the Poker from a friend of mine, I decided to invest some time on the subject before money. No one want to invest money into something before having any idea of what it is about. I started by reading books on the topic of Poker Texas Hold'em. My first reading was "Texas Hold'em for Dummies". Sounds quite simple isn't it? In fact, this book, written in part by Mark "The Red" Harlan, a profesionnal poker player, covers many principles about this game, from the rules to bankroll management, bluffing and other strategies. I found this book very complete for beginners like me. In parallel, I read on the internet. Sites such as pokerlistings.com and cardschat.com.

Then, I discovered PokerSchoolOnline. In no time, I read all the posts and watched all tutorials videos about Texas Hold'em Poker until I decided to create this Blog.

What I suggest to you Beginners like me is to read as much as you can on the subject, online or in books before jumping into the action. It helps to get a cold head and be prepared for the reality of the tables.

My next step is to read two books suggested from my readings, which are Internet Texas Hold'em by Matthew Hilger and Theory of Poker by Sklansky.

And you, experienced players, how did you get started? Do you have any advice for me?

Thanks for writting in the commentaries!!

Ben.
