With the growing popularity of the UKIPT over the first three years of it's series, the tour has decided to increase the number of live events they hold on each stop, with even the side events growing in popularity in this great UK pased poker tour. They are even branching out to Marbella, Spain for their own (PCA) like stop

The UKIPT has decided to bring out an even more affordable event that offers the usual big prize for very small investment , unlike the £770 main events they hold, the UKIPT team have decided to host a great and affordable buy in series of events for just £250 + £25 entry, and has already proved it's worth in the first event of the series held at the Hippodrome Casino in London with Team Pokerstars Pro Jake Cody taking it down for over £19k!

The first tournament had a great turnout of 343 players with the likelihood of the tournament growing in popularity as the tour progresses.

UKIPT Series 1 Final table result:

7th. Kaloyan Kirov, Bulgaria, PokerStars Qualifier, £2,700
8th. Shantanu Banerji, United Kingdom, PokerStars Player, £1,977

Here were the results of the final table of the first ever Pokerstars event and also brought the first tournament win for Jake Cody since he became a member of Team Pokerstars Pro! Great to see some Pokerstars qualifiers making it deep in the tournament, just gives you that motivation to try it yourself, i mean just imagine doing what Terry Jordan did and qualify online and end up making over £8000, or better

The tournaments are hosting the same structure as the famous UKIPT Main Events but just with 30 minute levels, still allowing for some great action and a great structured tournament. With Pokerstars also providing sattelites to these events it's a great opportunity for small stakes grinders to capture a massive prize.

So i urge all Pokerstars players to keep an eye out on the Pokerstars Lobby for the latest satellites on the series events, you can find them on the Lobby under Events>More>UKIPT

I hope some PSO'ers can make a deep run in any of these, would be great to see
